Two men who set out for a trip across northern Manitoba by snowmobile three days ago and had not been heard from are safe, RCMP say.
The pair left a winter carnival in Brochet, Manitoba, Sunday night.
On Tuesday, RCMP said the men's whereabouts were unknown. The two had told people they were headed for either Wollaston Lake in Saskatchewan, or further north in Manitoba.
"After extensive searching by land and air throughout the day both snowmobilers have been located safely," RCMP said in a news release late Wednesday afternoon. There was no word in the release about where the men wound up.
