file photo, not of this incident
This serves as a reminder why groomed trails are safer as long as they are properly marked. I am presuming this happened on a unmarked trail. Slow down if you are riding in a area you don't know.

Be aware of Signs blown over
With all the wind Sunday Feb 13th, [gusts up to 90km] many signs and field stakes have been blown over. When conditions improve we will be trying to remark the trails so please ride with caution. The forecast is for more warmth on monday and tuesday, we have lost a lot of snow in the fields so things wont get better till we get more snow. The trails in the park are still very good.

Beaver Lodge Shelter HAS LIGHTS!!!!
The Beaver Lodge shelter located between Carlyle and Arcola, now has a Solar panel and many LED lights installed for those out riding after dark. The new lights and solar panel were installed on Thursday by club members. Please enjoy this new amenity and try some night riding. Nothing better than some sausage or hot dogs cooked over a fire in the evening. A tub containing paper towel, aluminum foil, plates and plastic cutlery is also supplied in the shelter. If anyone has any suggestion please email any club board member.
