Greetings from the Moose Mountain Snowmobile Club. We are a non-profit group of volunteers who organize and maintain 321 Km of Provincially regulated snowmobile trails around the Moose Mountain region. We are called a club but really we are an association that makes sure all trails are set up and maintained each winter. Each season we look after the grooming equipment, trail grooming, signing (to provincial standards) and field staking the trails. With 321Km of trail our volunteers put up around 6500 field stakes each year and remove them when the trails close at the end of March.
We look after the trails between the following communities: Carlyle, Arcola, Kisbey, Stoughton, north to Corning , from Windthorst the trail continues north into the Pipestone Valley then back south to Kipling and south back to Kenosee Lake through the Provincial Park. Throughout the Moose Mountain region we also look after 7 warm up shelters. Our trails intersect at many points with other provincial clubs including, Estevan Snowmobile Club, Souris River Snowmobile club from Weyburn, Grenfell Snow Drifters, Broadview Snow Busters and South East SASK. Stubble Jumpers based out of Alida. This is a great trail system that brings many locals out throughout the winter and also draws many tourists to the area from all over Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the northern United States. On average over 17000 snowmobiles are registered in Saskatchewan alone.
This season we would like to ask if you would advertise and promote your business with us to the snowmobiling community. The cost for 2015-16 is $200.00 plus 5% GST for a total of $210.00. The standard package includes: a 3 ¼” X 2 ¼” advertisement on 1000 maps, a 12” X 16” sign in one of our 7 warm up shelters and a spot on the web page. We will also issue you our famous Moose logo decal for your businesses doorway. The maps are distributed to all shelters within our region plus gas stations and other business locations.
(*We can also sell you a larger advertisement package and website area if you would like something larger than our standard size set up.)

All trails were groomed last week also some grooming will start again tomorrow. There is a packed base of 12-24 inches on most trails outside the park and off trail in the park there is at least three feet or more in most places. Our weather forecast is showing below freezing temperatures well into next weekend. Our trails will close for sure on March 31st. There could be some hazzards in the ditches going in and out of the different communities as the towns and RM's clear culverts and drainage areas. Carlyle has an opening as does Stoughton. Please come forward and represent your community if you can attend one or two meetings a year. You are basically a community liason for the trail system. No canvasing for money is needed. Someone who could spend some time with trail maintanence or anything club related would be excellent. Please contact any board member or post on here. Next meeting and general elections will be at the Kenosee Inn March 27th at 8pm.

Carlyle to Arcola will be done in the next 24 hours. Kisbey to Stoughton will also get groomed up before the weekend. In the North Kipling 311B South to 311D to Corning 311A up to Windthorst was also done on Wednesday. Windthorst North to the Silver Bullet will be done later today/Tonight. Watch for Groomers on the trail as there could be three out getting this new snow into shape. Enjoy the trails this weekend as they make it easier to find your favorite deep snow play areas. Be aware that the sloughs in the park (off trail) will be extremely deep and they do have water under the snow. At least a foot of slush on many. Please post your sledding pictures to our facebook.MMSCMoosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15667007324655123291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2808051813042482920.post-1378028741916651532013-02-28T20:09:00.001-08:002013-02-28T20:09:56.075-08:00MARCH 1st TRAIL REPORTAll club trails were groomed thursday except Kisbey to Stoughton and north to 311D loop, which was done late last week. All Trail inside the Moose Mountain Provincial Park are also freshly groomed and smooth. I was on them tonight and the clubs new drag flattened out the rock hard mogels with ease on stevenson and center road. Super job thursday done by Gary Mills grooming the entire north loop from Corning to Kipling, Windthorst and back into Corning and Doug Ilchuk who did Kisbey, Arcola, Carlyle, Stevenson, Center road and back south to Kisbey on 311C.
